When planning the music for your wedding, please remember that all music must be in accordance with liturgical guidelines of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. The music selections below are all apporpriate for use at a Catholic wedding, though other selections may be chosen with the approval of the Music Director.
In planning the music for your wedding, you will need to choose:
- Gospel Acclamation
- 1 or 2 Processionals (for bridesmaids and bride)
If your wedding takes place within the context of mass, you will also need to choose:
- Communion Song
Additional vocal solos or instrumental music may be used during these parts of the ceremony (these are all optional):
- Seating of the Mothers
- Lighting of the Unity Candle
- Preparation of the Gifts (during mass)
A cantor leads the singing of the psalm, gospel acclamation, and communion song. Please contact the Music Director for information about hiring a cantor from the parish.
