Scrip Scoops!!!!
We try to keep all items in stock, but please understand that they’re available on a first come, first served basis. It helps us greatly if you order on Monday morning. Why? That’s when we order from Great Lakes Scrip, and if we know that we need fifteen Macy’s gift cards, we’ll make sure they’re available. If we don’t know that Monday morning, we may very well have a smaller amount in inventory, and we won’t be able get the additional cards until we order again the following Monday. (We order weekly to minimize shipping fees.) Thanks for being part of the Scrip program—giving that costs you nothing.

Q. What is Scrip?
A. It’s a program through which you can purchase certificates that “spend” like money at many stores and restaurants. Your purchases help our school, because SMS receives a percentage of the amount you spend on certificates. You grocery shop anyway, so why not purchase your grocery certificates through SCRIP and help your school at the same time?
The magic of this fundraiser is that the cost to you is nothing
above what you would normally spend.
If you want a $10 Kroger certificate, your cost is $10. The vendors who participate rebate monies to St. Monica. For every $500 order you will recieve one service hour.
Q. How do I order?
A. Simply complete the green order form included in your backpack mail or available from the office. We place an order with Great Lakes Scrip every Monday morning, so that’s the best day for you to send in your order form. You may also purchase Scrip in the office daily. Q. I have an 8th grader. Why should I bother buying Scrip?
A. We try to make it so easy for you to do, and since you grocery shop, buy gasoline, and probably eat out and shop at many of the vendors we carry, why not make your school better at the same time ? Scrip is giving that costs you nothing!
Q. If I get a business, or family members, or neighbors, to order Scrip, does my family get credit for their purchases?
A. Absolutely!

Q. If I order items any day of the week, can I get them the same day?
A. You usually can get them the same day. Sometimes demand does exceed supply, and in that case there can be a wait involved. Believe me, we hate when that happens as much as you do. Fortunately, it doesn’t happen very often.
Q. I sent in an order for $500 in J.C. Penney cards. You say you have them in stock, so why didn’t I get them today?
A. This is partially answered above. When you need a large amount from one vendor, it’s best to let us know on Monday, as that is our ordering day. We then have a better idea of how many to keep in our “in stock” box. We have to be careful about the number of items we stock, as they’re like cash and we’re responsible for them. Also, it takes us longer to get items from some vendors, so the sooner we know what you need, the better we can serve you.
Q. Are the certificates good in other states?
A. As long as they have the vendor you order (eg. J.C. Penney) your mom in Minnesota and uncle in Utah can use them, just as you can use them here. They make super gifts!
Q. How do you keep up with all the Christmas gift orders?
A. By working really, really hard! We try to meet the demands, and sometimes (just during December) we order more than once a week. You can help us by ordering on Monday so we know what the demand is for the week.
