TEACHERS

Mr. Moore

He studied to be an opera singer but learned his passion was teaching music, especially to beginning students.  He started the Yamaha Music School and taught private piano and keyboard lesson as well as group lessons at Paige’s Music and Meridian Music.  In 2002 he returned to teaching general music in school settings.  For six years he has taught at Catholic schools in the Indianapolis Archdiocese.  On the weekends, for most of his life, he has served the Church as a Music Director, Cantor and Accompanist.  Mr. Moore earned a Bachelor of Music Degree at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI; a Master of Music at Butler University, Indianapolis, IN; a Master of Music Education at Anderson University, Anderson, IN.  He is a certified Orff Schulwerk Music Instructor; a certified Yamaha Music Education Systems Instructor; and a Certified Harmony Road Music School Instructor.  He is married to Cindy Moore, a Registered Physical Therapist, and  together they have raised three children who are now adults.
