PRACTICE THE FAITH: Getting to Know Jesus
- Read Chapter 2, Chapter 3, and Chapter 4 of the USCCA
- Several times this week, sit in silence with this Sunday's readings: do you find that they are as important on Wednesday as they were on Sunday? What words most nourish your soul? What do you think God wants you to hear? To do?
REFLECTION: Life Hidden in God
The Beatitudes list " the meeK" as among the most blessed and happy persons on earth. This Sunday's readings refer several times to the meekness of Jesus himself. Yet we know Jesus is all-powerful...
This week pray EVERY DAY, listening to what God has to say to you about meekness in your own life. Does meekness meaning allowing others to do what they want to you? Does meekness require no strength, a relinquishing of all power?
In what ways is Jesus meek? How does Jesus redefine your understanding of what it means to be meek? How can we "learn from him because he is meek and humble of heart"?
How do you know that your life is "hidden in God"?* What difference does this make? Are you faithful to this "hidden life"?
How do you feel about being one of the "LITTLE ONES"???
What yoke is Jesus asking you to take on - can you believe that He shoulders this burden along with you, at your side?
* Colossians 3:3 - "For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God."
